A Stunning Double-Storey Extension
Nestled in the charming and increasingly popular village of Lower Stondon, our clients envisioned a double-storey extension that would not only enhance their living space but also make the most of their beautiful surroundings. They wanted to invite natural light into their home, create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living, and incorporate standout architectural features to add both style and functionality.

The Vision
The Solution
Our in-house Architectural Designers and Technologists, in collaboration with our engineer, meticulously brought this vision to life. At the heart of the project is a cranked steel beam, expertly designed and installed to support the expansive glazing. This not only serves as a key structural component but also acts as a striking visual feature, elevating the overall aesthetic of the extension.
The dressing area is a true showstopper, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass panels that create an unparalleled sense of openness while framing the scenic landscape beyond. Meanwhile, the snug area boasts a bespoke box window, designed to maximise natural light while offering a cosy, built-in seating area that is both functional and inviting. The angled structure of the window ensures the room is bathed in daylight, making it the perfect retreat, even on the coldest winter mornings.
