The Sunday times has just published an advisory report on residential property prices in the UK
The report reviews current property values in Hertfordshire and parts of Bedfordshire, and concludes that to buy a typical 4 bedroomed home in this region costs an average of £193,837.00 more than a 3 bedroomed home.

Home Extension Team Director David Cascarino commented… “ This is sharp contrast to the cost of building a double storey extension to a three bedroomed house, of less than £100,000.00. Not only would this incorporate the extra 4th bedroom, but also increased living accommodation to the ground floor, designed to the precise instructions and aspirations of the homeowner. Stamp duty, estate agents, solicitors and removal fees alone would add another £40000.00 to the purchase of an average four bedroomed home.”
